Perth Scorchers vs Melbourne Renegades live stream, scoreboard, updates, news

The Renegades lost six wickets for just 37 points in a huge collapse that included a bizarre run to oust Mackenzie Harvey.

Harvey slipped slightly before resuming his run, apparently thinking he would make it home comfortably.

Laurie Evans had other plans, throwing the stumps down to return the young gun for 45 of 40.

The lively fast James Pattinson and the versatile Jack Prestwidge provided the only resistance late in the game, with 16 and 22 not eliminated respectively.

The Renegades will be disappointed with their 8/151 tally after being fairly well placed in seventh.

Jason Behrendorff was at his best, taking two wickets for just 19 runs over his four overs.

The Scorchers are hoping to get big early in their pursuit of that mean total.

After posting a solid total, the Renegades made their way to 5/205 with 16 overs.

The Gades lost quick wickets including Maddinson, Fraser-McGurk and Nabi who all went under 10.

Mackenzie Harvey provided the only resistance, sitting on 45 of 39 balls.

Tymal Mills was the bowlers’ pick with two wickets for just 22 runs from three overs.

The Renegades get off to a good start after winning the bat flip and choosing to beat at Marvel Stadium.

After seven overs, the Melbourne team are seated at 1/55 with young guns Harper and Harvey in the seated fold at 27 and 18 respectively.

T20 superstar Aaron Finch was fired early by England import Tymal Mills, putting a bullet into orbit before Mitch Marsh calmly took the hold.

The Australian all-rounder also started with a practical 0/12 over two overs to slow Gades’ strike rate.

The Renegades are hoping Mitch Marsh doesn’t repeat his efforts at Marvel Stadium just four days ago.

The Australian all-rounder T20 notched 86 of 53 to help the Scorchers at 5/206 when they met last week.

The Perth team remain undefeated in BBL11 and the Renegades are hoping they can change that after throwing a decent chase towards the Scorchers’ mammoth total.
