Matt Broussard commits to Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns football

2023 ED White Catholic Offensive Lineman Matthew Broussard got involved with the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns football teams.

Broussard announced his engagement on his Twitter account on Saturday.

The 6-foot-4, 275-pound Broussard lines up at left tackle at ED White, but is expected to play guard in college. He chose UL over other offers from Louisiana-Monroe, Nicholls, Southeast Louisiana and Northwestern State, according to ED White coach Kyle Lasseigne.

As a junior, Broussard helped ED White’s offense compile 2,674 rushing yards and 35 touchdowns during the 2021 season. He is known as one of the top contributors to ED White’s massive offensive line . The Cardinals finished second in Division II in the 2021 season.

Broussard finished his senior season with numerous post-season awards, including first team selections to District 9-3A team, The Courier football team and Daily Comet’s Best of Bayou Preps and the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Class 3A team.
