Manchester United News: Rice came to get me a plea.

Manchester United News: David Moyes has made it very clear how much he wants Declan Rice to stay at the club. However, if he wants to leave, it will cost over £100million. West Ham haven’t been afraid to set the transfer fee they want for Rice, but what the player wants for his career remains to be seen.

Manchester United could be the answer. The Red Devils are struggling in the Premier League and are already absent from both domestic competitions. However, they remain an attractive destination for players.

The Manchester giants remain a few players away from challenging for the title and if they sign Rice it will be a statement for others. The Red Devils are also looking for a permanent manager ahead of the start of the summer transfer window.

However, before anything happens, it is very important that the club qualify for Champions League for the next season. If they miss the competition, signing classy players may have problems.

Manchester United News: Is Rice the best midfielder out of all the linked midfielders?

Manchester United News: Rice came to get me a plea.

Several midfielders have been linked with United over the past six months. However, if reports are to be believed, the Old Trafford boardroom remain big admirers of Rice. Rice was rejected as a youngster by Chelsea and ended up at West Ham United.

The former Chelsea youngster is West Ham United’s best player by a mile. The midfielder averages 2.7 dribbles, 6.6 ball recoveries, 6.2 interceptions and 4.1 defensive duels won per 90 minutes. In some context, that’s the second-most ball recoveries and fourth-most interceptions by 90 in the entire league.

Rice’s situation at West Ham

The West Ham midfielder has been wanted by United for a few seasons now. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has launched the hunt for midfield and made it his priority. However, United’s board did not clear the money for the transfer and United also started this season without a central defensive midfielder.

The midfielder has a contract with West Ham until the summer of 2024 and hence the crazy demands. West Ham will remain firm on this position, but the power of the players should not be underestimated.

As for Rice, no one thinks he’ll try to stir up trouble on the team by pushing through a move. However, he is coming to a stage where the big clubs might be too difficult to let go.

What does Rice have to say?

Manchester United News: “I’ve always said that is that I don’t want to have a career where I haven’t won anything,” Rice said. “I grew up as a kid and saw all these top players win the big trophies, like you [Neville]who has won the Premier League and the Champions League so many times.

“Me as a football fan and as a player, I want to win the best. I want to win the Premier League – I want to lift this trophy. I also want to win the Champions League. I want to win the FA Cup and the League Cup, even England stuff. I want to win everything.

Everyone knows that Rice’s ambitions will not be fulfilled at West Ham United. Manchester United haven’t done wonders for the past decade, but it looks like Rice could be the club’s last puzzle to make them serious contenders.
