Erling Haaland told Mino Raiola about his decision between PSG and Real Madrid

It’s a well-known fact now that Real Madrid are in the running to sign Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland in the summer transfer window. The transfer of the first to the Spanish capital seems inevitable after his attempt to leave PSG this year was blocked by the club.

Mbappe’s contract expires at the end of the season, and he can legally start negotiations with Real Madrid in January on a transfer at the end of the season. However, for the latter, it’s hard to say where he would be heading next year due to the huge roster of interested suitors looking to sign him.

Haaland’s release clause worth € 75m has reportedly been raised to € 90m by Borussia Dortmund. His new release clause is still seen as a steal in today’s bloated transfer market. The Norway international has scored 13 goals in 10 appearances in all competitions for Dortmund so far and he’s just warmed up.

As Haaland’s attention remains on the pitch, the 21-year-old will soon have to start thinking about his future with the passing time. At the moment, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are the clubs interested in signing the striker.

Erling Haaland prefers Real Madrid

According to AS’s Marco Ruiz, Erling Haaland has told his agent Mino Raiola that he prefers Real Madrid to Paris Saint-Germain. Haaland’s preference for Madrid over PSG comes as no surprise given the way the French club have acted and treated Kylian Mbappe (a player of similar status) over the past few months.

The report also mentions that Raiola and Haaland are not interested in negotiating a deal with Barcelona (despite Raiola’s cordial relationship with Joan Laporta). This is simply because of the current crisis that Barcelona are facing and Haaland certainly wouldn’t want to be a part of the show.

For now, the wind seems to have turned to Real Madrid and Los Blancos could possibly be in the driver’s seat to snatch the signing of Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe next summer. A front line from Vinicius Jr, Haaland and Mbappe at the Santiago Bernabeu would be to be cherished for years to come.
